About Us

Grainy is a small hardware and software studio in Nesttun, Norway. We make tools for creatives, musicians, and people who care about how their everyday things look and feel.

We started Grainy because the small objects around a desk, the cables, the adapters, the bits and pieces, were usually either ugly, flimsy, or both. We thought they could be better. Considered, durable, and quietly beautiful. That idea became the Magic Cord, our self-coiling USB-C cable, and it is still how we approach everything we build.

We design with a Scandinavian eye. Minimal, tactile, and made to last. We would rather ship one product we are proud of than ten we are not.
